4 Mistakes due vehicles Stolen in INDIA

People tealing of cars and bikes are daily news in India. This crime and problem of common people increasing years after years. In Delhi, as per the data in 2017 there are around 39,000 vehicles stolen. In 2018, the number has increased to around 44,000.



80% vehicles never be recovered. Unfortunately most people never able to compensate or recover the money. Here is some steps through which people can recover the money of their vehicle.

Step 1 : Always keep duplicate copy of RC of your vehicle at home.


After vehicle stolen, immediately take it and go to the nearest police station where the vehicle was stolen and then register a FIR. Take a FIR copy. It would already better to keep a walk around photo of your vehicle. It might help police to identify it.

Step 2: Contact with the RTO office where your vehicle is being registered. There you needs to fill up the Form 26. Correct me if I am wrong about form. RTO office will ask FIR copy.

Step 3: It's always a good idea to purchase a full insurance of vehicle insurance. We needs to ensure that the policy cover all possible mishaps. Most of us always aviod to buy insurance for vehicle. In this type of situation, where we loose our vehicle, insurances would be huge benefit for us.


After registering your FIR contact with your vehicle insurance company with all documents.

Step 4: People can get most of the amount of your vehicle as per insurance policy within 6–12 months. But insurance company will ask for “No Trace Certificate” from police before start processing insurance claim. This certificate will be available after few months.
